Kingston, Jamaica — At Wednesday night’s Wray & Nephew Contender season finale, Deep Jahi, one of dancehall’s newest lyrical contenders, gave a performance to remember.

The event which was staged at the National Indoor Sports Centre, St. Andrew has been one of many recent events at which the deejay has appeared since winning this year’s Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition. He says the singles, Fully BadLife Goes OnNuffest Style and Punching Bagdid quite the number on the crowd and “they really seemed to love it,” he said.
“It was a great night overall and the vibe and reception from the crowd was great. There were also a lot of people asking for pictures and dem tings deh. Even a fan say she a come every show until she get back all her money’s worth for voting so much during the Kings and Queens competition. That was funny, but I appreciate all the support that people are still giving to me and I’m remaining focused and level-headed to take my career to the next level and make them proud,” he said.
Deep Jahi is currently signed to Rockstone Media and “anybody who wants to book me can call 362-8857 for details. Only that number please,” he said.
