KINGSTON, Jamaica (December 11, 2012) – The iconic Freddie McGregor is set to take the stage at tonight’s Behind The Screen Series at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records, Market Place, Constant Spring Road.

The singer who is set to grace the stage at 10 p.m. with a live band, says tomorrow night’s performance will be a great one for fans.

“It’s going to be the maddest show ever. It’s a great opportunity for me to get to perform at an intimate venue like this since most persons in Jamaica don’t get the opportunity to see us in action. We are usually all over the place in Europe, Japan and the States touring, so people, especially the youths don’t see us. It’s also a great opportunity for the fans and also young yutes interested in music and want to see how we deal with it outside of Jamaica with a band to come out and enjoy the show.” The event which ends at midnight has an admission fee of $1200.

The reggae legend who is known for his timeless hits including, Push Comes To Shove, Just Don’t Wanna Be Lonely, Big Ship, I Was Born A Winner and more recently returned from tours in three separate markets: Europe, Japan and the USA. While in the US, McGregor performed at a sold-out concert at the Hollywood Bowl, which has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, since its official opening in 1922 and has also been the home of singing legend, Cher’s final concerts in 2005. In addition, a number of other musical icons have graced the stage over the decades including: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Alicia Keys, Elton John, The Beatles and more.

In addition, McGregor’s tour also took him to other parts of California, Garance, France, Rotterdam Reggae Festival, Netherlands and more. Next month, on January 29, he will release his 36th studio album on the VP label, Freddie McGregor: The Captain, which will contain 15 timeless hits.
